DO’S OF WRITING

  • Use quotation marks for quotations and not italic
  • All Latin expressions must be in italic
  • Use uniform bullets
  • Use ‘Initial Capital’ for all sub-headings
  • Footnote numberings in the text should be placed after full-stops or commas, not before
  • Use the third singular when writing an academic paper e.g., I have not stopped wondering ….; The present writer wonders ….; I personally disagree….
REFERENCES

·         Start with author’s surname, not initials
·         Use a ‘Long Dash’ instead of repeating an author’s surname where multiple works of a single author is cited
·         Arrange in alphabetical order

ABSTRACT

  • Should be written in past participle tense
  • It should be in single line spacing
  • It should not be indented
